I generally don’t count my calories for liquor because I’m going to be out and burning those calories (probably even more) while I’m drunk and going crazy ahah. I also usually mix it in orange juice just because it is healthier then soda (which i do not drink ever) or ill mix it in cranberry juice

Photo

Photo

hiya! love your blog by the way :) Everyone says that you need a cheat day once a week or there abouts.

Because body fat is simply stored calories, your goal should be to burn more calories than you consume which means you have a variety of exercises and activities available to help you get to your goals. Depending on how quickly you want to get to your goal and your fitness level will dictate what exercise selections you make. In terms of caloric burn, running is an ideal exercise, however swimming, jumping rope, biking exercises, and circuit training are all intense activities that will help you burn more calories. If fat loss is your primary concern remember to follow an appropriate meal plan based on your preferences and caloric needs as well as incorporate resistance training into your programming. Resistance training will help you burn calories while performing the activity, but will also help you burn more calories 24 hours per day as you develop lean body mass (muscle).

Fat loss is an equation. Eat less, move more and you will drop fat. So the good news is, anything that helps you get moving so you are burning more calories than you are consuming (creating a calorie deficit) will help you lose fat!

By creating a caloric deficit, the body will be forced to use stored body fat for energy, uncovering a leaner you. So focus on finding activities that you enjoy and that will keep you moving. If you would rather hike, bike, swim, row or lift weights, then do it! You don’t have to be a slave to the pavement and running shoes!

Dairy

Gluten

Corn

Eggs

Soy

So, how do you know if you are sensitive to the foods listed above? Dr. Hyman suggests stopping them for two weeks and then you add them back one at a time a couple of days apart. If you gain weight or feel bloated shortly after introducing a food back into your diet you are probably sensitive to that food.

Are there some tips to help slow down an overeater?

Dr. Michael T Murray answered:

Never sit down to eat a main meal when you are too hungry. Learn to “spoil your appetite” with healthy snacks before each meal. Or take 2.5 to 5 gm of PolyGlycopleX (PGX) before meals (three to six PGX softgel capsules, one to two SlimStyles capsules, a half to one scoop of PGX granules).

Start the meal with a large volumetric salad or soup. These starters take some time to eat and that takes the edge off your appetite, giving your stomach a chance to let the brain know that you have eaten nearly enough food.

Put your fork or spoon down after every bite. For many people, eating is a nonstop motion: The fork or spoon is racing from plate to mouth. Instead, take a small spoonful of food, then put the spoon down beside your plate while you chew your food thoroughly. Don’t pick up the spoon until you have completely swallowed the previous bite.

Pause after eating the first half of your meal and allow yourself a few minutes to feel satiated. You just may find you are too full to eat the other half anyway. Carry on a conversation and give your stomach time to register the food you have eaten.

Sit down to eat your meals and snacks, but do not sit down in front of the television. If you eat your main meals or snacks while watching TV, you are likely to lose your focus, leading to mindless munching.

Don’t eat seconds or thirds. If you are still hungry or tempted to eat after your meal, eat some raw vegetables or an apple, or drink a large glass of water with PGX fiber.
